The process

We live in a world where many things can be mass produced, sold cheaply, bought instantly and delivered within hours.  My items are handmade, at home, in a small studio, usually to order and take both love and time, resulting in something that you cannot find elsewhere.  This takes longer than a quick click of a button on a multi-million Pound organisation website.  If you have visited my website and are reading this, you will appreciate the process of handmade.

Each of my items are individual, so they are not all completely identical, that is the beauty of handmade.

Ceramics can take a minimum of 3 weeks to fully complete.  This involves designing and making the item, checking it over, allowing it to dry fully before the first 8-12 hour kiln plus cooling time, unpacking, glazing, checking again and firing for the second time, after which depending on the item, it has felt, ribbon or protective bases or backings attached.  Then there is the packaging and posting time.

If you order has time constraints, please message me to see what I can do for you.

Payments

Payment is required either by credit or debit card via the secure Paypal business portal (please note a personal PayPal account is not required).  An invoice shall be raised and emailed to you.  You may also pay by bank transfer if you prefer.

Prices

Prices of physical items aim to be correct on the website but will also be confirmed at the time of ordering plus additional postage if applicable.

For custom made items, pricing will vary due to the process and quantities.

For bespoke workshops, prices online are a guide only as these will depend on the number of participants, location, type of project you wish to create, materials and firing costs.  Once you confirm you wish to go ahead a 40% non-refundable deposit will be required with the full amount payable by the date of the event.

Delivery

Delivery in mainland UK is sent First Class Royal Mail Signed For service.  Items in stock and not being made to order will be posted out within 2 days.  If your item is urgent and in stock, alternative delivery can be arranged.

Personalised and made to custom orders will take longer and will be sent once they have been completed.  This can be discussed in the order correspondence.

Returns of handmade items

I am unable to accept returns or issue refunds on custom made items.  However, if you are not completely satisfied with your items, please contact me in the first instance to discuss a solution.  If items arrived damaged, refunds or a replacement can be arranged.
