The process

We live in a world where many things can be mass produced, sold cheaply, bought instantly and delivered within hours.  My items are handmade, at home, in a small studio, usually to order and take both love and time, resulting in something that you cannot find elsewhere.  This takes longer than a quick click on a button of a multi-million Pound organisation website.  If you have visited my website and are reading this, you will appreciate the process of handmade.

Each of my items are individual, so they are not all completely identical, that is the beauty of handmade.

Ceramics can take a minimum of 3 weeks to fully complete.  This involves designing and making the item, checking it over, allowing it to dry fully before the first 8-12 hour kiln plus cooling time, unpacking, glazing, checking again and firing for the second time, after which depending on the item, it has felt, ribbon or protective bases or backings attached.  Then there is the packaging and posting time.

If you order has time constraints, please message me to see what I can do for you.
