Continue Spring with creativity on a relaxing ceramics course to create items both functional and decorative.   Suitable for beginners and returning students. 

Over five-weeks we shall explore the ceramic hand-building techniques of coiling, slab building and pinching.  Plus surface decoration using coloured slips and glazes.  

Please note that course does not include a pottery wheel, only hand-building.

After learning about the basics, you can follow set projects, peruse the folders and books for inspiration or bring your own ideas to create.  Guidance will be provided throughout.

Price includes materials, tuition, kiln firing and light refreshments.

An exciting collaboration with Lucy from Bar Limon, combining a relaxing ceramics workshop to make and decorate a tapas serving dish and enjoy some delicious traditional tapas and wine. 

Using terracotta clay and the pinch pot method, you will handmake a multi-section dish to serve tapas or nibbles.  Then decorate it with colourful ceramic decorating slips, adding pattern by scratching into the clay.   During the session you can enjoy a refreshing drink and a take break for delicious, freshly prepared Spanish food.

Located at Bar Limon, Malvern in the outdoor courtyard.  Relax on a late Spring evening being creative and appreciating good food in good company.  Should the weather turn wet. we can retreat indoors.

All materials, tutoring, tools and kiln firing.  

A selection of tapas dishes including vegetarian and a drink. Please advise at the time of booking if you have any specific food allergies or intolerances.  

You can expect your completed item to be ready within 4 weeks of the event.  This is due to the time clay takes to dry and go through two kiln firings.
